That is a cool shot. By the colour of His Grace's beard... it looks like that was taken a few years back. I remember some vestments got retired, like, back in '97 or so... maybe that kickin' red mantia was one of those... it is kickin'.
Is it ever kickin'! thats a pretty sweet photo. very bold.
and what a stride! I love it!
i recall that red mantia, jenny. i think that photo is from before my orthodox days, say in 88 or 89? his beard colour is the give away, for it was much more grey than in this photo by the early 90s. though it is only a side view, and the optics can be deceiving.
